Fame Hooker, Prostitute Wench

In case you haven't heard (which planet do you live on anyway?), Lady Gaga already released Judas, her second single from the album Born This Way. It was released days before the Holy Week. Coincidence? I think not. Intentional or not, it just showed the one thing I love most about Gaga, she doesn't give a fuck what everyone else will say. She always loves to come out full force with something unconventional.
Anyway here's the single cover.

The song can be interpreted in so many ways. Superficially it can be seen as an anti-christ song, especially with the lyrics, "...I'll bring him down, a king with no crown..." Gaga explains it is about "honoring your darkness in order to bring yourself into the light, [...] You have to look into what’s haunting you and need to learn to forgive yourself in order to move on." I think that's true that you need to embrace the darkest side of you just to let it go.

More about the lyrics, when you try to look a little more deeper you will see that it's about a woman still holding on to a man who betrayed her, just like Judas did Jesus. The woman wants to be with him again just so that she can finally let him go. If you strip the song naked, it is about Lady Gaga herself. She's letting go of her Judas, her past life that she loved so much despite its negative sides like fame obsession (fame hooker), burlesque dancer (prostitute wench), and... writing offensively (vomits her mind)? I don't know about the last one but she did indicate that you need to embrace something one time to let it go. Maybe this will be her last offensive song? Nah. Doubt it. Her songs are great at it is anyway. Check the audio on youtube.
